Which Entomite-M should I buy?

The 10,000 tube is great for up to 10 plants. The 50,000 tube will be perfect for 10+ plants.

When should I use Koppert's Entomite-M?

Use Entomite-M for biological control of eggs, larvae and pupae of flies and thrips. It is best to introduce the product at the first sign of pests.

How does it remove fungus gnats?

Entomite contains a beneficial and predatory mite called Stratiolaelaps scimitus. They feed on larvae of flies and other soil based insects. Stratiolaelaps scimitus rarely transfers on to the plant itself - they stay in the soil and control soil-based pests. The reduction of the infestation level occurs at a slow but steady rate.

How to use Entomite-M

• Turn and shake the bottle or bag gently before use
• Spread material evenly on soil - do not apply close to stem or on the plant
• Do not apply close to stem
• At the first use, test Entomite-M on a small scale prior to application on crops.

Best working conditions

For optimal results, the soil has to be moist but not too wet. The minimum temperature for successful use of Entomite-M is 15°C/59°F.

Handling

Beneficial bugs have a very short life expectancy in the packaging, and therefore need to be introduced into the crop as soon as possible after receipt. Failure to do so can have a negative impact on their quality. In case you do need to store Entomite, please follow the instructions below. We are not liable for any loss of quality if the product is stored for longer and/or under different conditions than recommended.
